Do I need to reserve in advance?
It is recommended that you have a reservation to board the ferry. You are welcome to show up and ride “standby” status, space available.

Do I need to make a reservation to bring a bike?
Yes, when purchasing your ticket, add the option to reserve space for your bike.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel your reservation, you can ride standby for an alternate time or contact us to make necessary changes to your ticket. Text or call: 231.675.5204 to get assistance from ferry staff.

How far in advance should I get there?
It is recommended that you arrive 5-10 minutes before the ferry departs to ensure safe boarding. Please allow ample time for parking.

How long does the Ferry take?
The ride from Petoskey to Harbor Springs is approximately 20 minutes.
The ride from Petoskey to Bay Harbor is approximately 30 minutes.

Are Pets allowed?
Yes! We don’t mind them as long as they mind you! Pets must be on a leash.

Do you serve food/drink on Ferry?
Yes we do! We currently have an assortment of non-alcoholic beverages and chips available for purchase.

Is there a luggage policy?
You can bring luggage. Please ask for assistance if needed.

Can I ship items using the Ferry?
At this time we don’t allow shipments.

Is the Ferry wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we are accessible for non-motorized wheelchairs, but there are weight restrictions. Due to water levels and various docks, we may have different ADA accessibility. If you have questions, please call our customer service: 231 675 5204, to ensure proper accommodations and comfortable ride.

What is your weather policy?
Little Traverse Bay Ferry Co. will decide if your cruise will be cancelled or delayed according to current conditions and approaching systems using the current and predictive radar, as well as the marine forecast and actual observations for the intended/probable area of our cruise.  Cruises do go out in some scattered showers but not persistent rain.  We will not begin a cruise during an electrical storm, moderate rain, or if we believe that such approaching conditions will be unavoidable during a cruise by altering course or returning to harbor.  This decision will be made by Little Traverse Bay Ferry Co. as early as we are certain, and you will be notified immediately via email and/or text.  If we determine that the cruise should be delayed or cancelled, a credit will be issued and emailed to you and is valid for 2 years from the date of your original cruise.  The Little Traverse Bay Ferry Co. has a NO REFUND POLICY for all reservations.  While the weather forecast (advance or even hourly) may say there is a high chance of rain or large waves, this is very broad and may not affect the time of your cruise or the area where your captain may navigate.  If weather conditions change and we are unable to operate, then you will be notified via email of cancellation and can transfer your tickets to another date. Can I purchase a gift card?

What forms of payment do you accept?
All major credit cards and gift cards that operate as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express as well as electronic payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay.
